New PMAA President
The Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association, at its recent annual conference and trade show held in Pittsburgh in August, voted in new president Daniel J. Becker, P.E. Formerly serving as vice president and conference committee chairman for PMAA, Mr. Becker will steer the organization’s helm for a one year term.
PMAA is a statewide membership organization representing authorities that provide environmental infrastructure and other community services across the Commonwealth. Services provided by the Association include advocacy on governmental affairs, education and training, and group benefits programs for members.
Mr. Becker is the current Chairman of the East Cocalico Township Authority (ECTA), located in East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, PA. ECTA is an operating authority providing public sanitary sewer and water service to approximately 2,500 customers. He is the immediate past PMAA Region 4 Director, a member of the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association, a member of the Water Environment Federation, a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Water Pollution Control Operators Association, a member of the Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority Citizens Advisory Committee, and a voting member of the local regional Intermunicipal Group.
Dan joined the ECTA Board in January, 1996 and has been acting as the Authority Chairman since September, 2007. Dan founded and is the owner of Becker Engineering, LLC, a Lancaster County based consulting engineering firm serving municipal water and sewer authorities as well as local municipalities.
Dan is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Pennsylvania and New York and he holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.
