Sludge management is a critical component of all wastewater treatment plants and often a significant drain on an authority’s staff allocation and budget. Reed Beds offer an alternative solution to dewatering sludge and by nature incorporate several aspects of Sustainability and Green Infrastructure.

The presenters will discuss and review a large Reed Bed project implemented in 2019 by the Bradford Sanitary Authority to process the Authority’s digested sludge in an environmentally sustaining and cost-efficient manner.
